The canton of Geneva's 2026 scale treats people born between 2001 and 2007 as young adults. This category receives a specific subsidy amount, separate from those for adults and children.
Under the official 2026 scale, the young adult subsidy is CHF 231 per month for income groups 1 to 8, and CHF 106 per month for group 9 (households with children). Your group depends on your unified determining income (RDU) and your household situation.
Unlike adults, whose subsidy is in principle renewed automatically on the basis of the RDU, young adults must file a new application every year with the Cantonal Health Insurance Office (SAM). Without action on your part, the subsidy is not paid, even if you are entitled to it.
Our advisers check your entitlement under the 2026 scale, complete the SAM form with you and submit the full file by post, email or the e-démarches portal. You pay nothing, and any subsidy granted is backdated to the start of the year.
Leave your details and an adviser will call you back within 24 hours to check your subsidy entitlement and prepare your file for the SAM.
