What 30 November means
It is the general deadline to file your subsidy application for the year. A file sent too late means months of premium reduction that are not paid to you. Yet the subsidy can reach CHF 348 per month per adult: the stakes are far from symbolic.
Cases that follow a different calendar
- Newcomers: a specific deadline applies from your arrival. See newcomers subsidy.
- Young adults and B, L, N, F permit holders: the application is renewed every year; do not rely on automatic renewal.
- RI or supplementary benefit recipients: automatic entitlement to the maximum subsidy.
Your checklist before the deadline
- Check your eligibility and RDU group.
- Choose the right form for your situation.
- Gather your documents: ID or permit, LAMal proof, latest tax assessment.
- File the application with the SAM, then track it (usually 4 to 6 weeks).
